Unlike most of the valley, Boulder City provides electric service through its own city-owned utility rather than NV Energy. That means interconnection applications, metering and credit rules for exported power are set by the city. We confirm Boulder City’s current requirements before design, so the system is sized and permitted to fit the utility you actually buy power from.
Building permits are handled by the City of Boulder City. Homes in the original townsite around the historic downtown are among the oldest in the area, and properties there may face additional design review before exterior changes are approved. We check for any added requirements early, before the layout is finalized, so approval doesn’t hold up the install date.
